In this post I am sharing some essential dressing tips while going for a job interview…
To find the right outfit
1. It is fundamental to dress depending on the type of industry and job role. Take the example of an interview at a corporate firm, attires such as a pantsuit or skirt suit, pants or pencil skirt and button-down shirt or blouse are excellent choices. On the other hand, if you go for a start-up interview, there is nothing wrong going a bit casual.
2. Avoid wearing clothes that are tight, sheer, and short and also tops that have plunging necklines.
3. Stay away from prints and patterns and colors that are bright and bling. Alternatively go for neutrals like black, grey, navy blue etc.
4. Wear properly fitted and seamless undergarments underneath your outfits.
5. Ultimately, your garments should be neat and wrinkle-free.
Be well-groomed
1. Get your nails trimmed and clean. Stay away from nail polishes that are too trendy and flashy, instead go for nude and subtle shades.
2. Keep in mind to comb your hair neatly and never allow it to fly around. Bun and ponytail hairstyles are perfect options.
3. Do not apply heavy and shimmery makeup and try to keep it subtle as possible.
Accessorize properly
1. Keep jewellery minimal. For example, add a dainty necklace and or a tiny pair of studs if required.
2. Wear a simple watch to achieve a sophisticated look.
3. Try to carry a handbag either in black or neutral and keep away extra bling and tassels.
Choose the appropriate footwear
1. Always choose shoes with comfortable heels avoiding stilettos.
2. Closed-toe pumps with fair heels in black, brown, or nude is highly recommended.
3. And finally, make sure they are polished well.
Thank you for stopping by and hope you enjoyed it! Always feel free to share your thoughts …
